A List of Holidays based upon the Absalom Reckoning – a Calendar for Golarion – known to your party (Note: if a PC has knowledge of a holiday but has not talked about it, it will not be put here. This notably involves Gill, Shie, and many NPCs you will meet.).

Month of Abadius
Longnight – Full Moon: All-night festival in which revelers defy the darkness of winter and stay up to greet the dawn.

Month of Calistril
Merrymead – 2 Calistril: During this holiday in celebration of the approaching Spring, the previous year’s alcohol is consumed.
Leap Day – 29 Calistril: Every eight years an extra day is added to the end of the month of Calistril, in order to keep calendars accurate. The next leap year will take place in 4711 AR.

Month of Pharast
Golemwalk Parade – First Sunday of Pharast: A parade of golems made by amateurs hoping to win a monetary grant from the Golemworks. At the end of the parade, the constructs are judged.
Day of Bones – 5 Pharast: Priests and worshipers of the Lady of Graves parade the bodies of the recently dead on this holiday, holding free burials afterwards. (Gill knows about this one, as does Koya.)

Month of Gozran
Currentseve – 7 Gozran: On this religious holiday, all who travel on the water make offerings to Gozreh in the hopes of safe passage for the coming year.

Month of Desnus
Angel Day – 31 Desnus: A day of masquerades acting as a celebration to the Empyreal Lords.

Month of Sarenith
Burning Blades – 10 Sarenith: The holy, month-long festival ends on this day, featuring dances with flaming blades.
Ritual of Stardust – Summer Solstice: Festival held in the evening and through the night, where Desna’s faithful sing songs and throw sand and powdered gems into bonfires.
Sunwrought Festivel – Summer Solstice: Day commemorating the defeat of Rovagug by Sarenrae, celebrated with the flying of kites, fireworks, and gift giving.

Month of Erastus
Archerfeast – 3 Erastus: Also known as Archer’s Day; Holy day celebrated with archery contests, bartering for livestock, and the courting of women.

Month of Arodus
Inheritor’s Ascendence – 1 Arodus: A day that honours the day that Iomedae was chosen by the god Aroden to become his herald. Was renamed from Herald’s Day after the demise of Aroden.
Founding Day – 10 Arodus: Festival celebrating the founding by Ilsur of the town of Ilsurian in 4631 AR. (you don’t really celebrate this but you’ve heard of it.)
Armasse Day – 16 Arodus: Holy day where commoners are trained to fight and historical tales are told with the hope that someone will learn from them. Although mostly celebrated in Andoran, according to Gill, many all over Avistan have adopted the holiday.

Month of Rova
First Brewing – Early Autumn: The date of this religious holiday changes from year to year, but usually occurs about a month after the harvest of crops used for alcoholic beverages. Cayden’s priests use this holiday to bless the harvest and reflect on the hard work of the Accidental God’s devotees.
Signing Day – Second Oathday: Festival marking the day Andoran, Cheliax, Galt, and Isger gained their independence from Taldor.
Day of the Inheritor 19 Rova: Holiday commemorating the church of Iomedae’s adoption of the forlorn faithful of the dead god Aroden into their midst.
Swallowtail Festival – Autumnal Equinox: Desnan holiday celebrated with storytelling, feasting, and the release of butterflies.

Month of Lamashan
Harvest Feast – Second Moonday: Harvest celebration marking the end of many agricultural activities with the coming of winter.
Ascendance Day – 6 Lamashan: Holiday marking the ascension of the goddess Iomedae after taking the Test of the Starstone.
Jestercap – 27 Lamashan: Holiday marked by the playing of many practical jokes;
particularly popular among gnomes.

Month of Neth
Abjurant Day – 8 Neth: Day of communal strengthening of defenses and the teaching of magic to children.
Evoking Days – 18 Neth: Holiday marked by displays of fireworks and magical duels (both mock and real).
Seven Veils – 23 Neth: Celebration of the unity of all races, commemorated by multi-species masquerade balls.
Transmutatum – 28 Neth: Festival promoting self-improvement.

Month of Kuthona
Winter Week – Second Week: Traditional feast; time for courting and spending time with friends.
Ascension Day – 11 Kuthona: Holiday celebrating Cayden’s divine ascension after taking the Test of the Starstone.
Night of the Pale – 31 Kuthona: Night of morbid revelry, as people wait indoors for the ghosts of last year’s dead to pass by their homes.
Crystalhue – Winter Solstice: Shelynite holiday marked by the creation of artistic works, and the start of romantic courtships.
Ritual of Stardust – Winter Solstice: Bi-annual festival held on the solstices, where the faithful of Desna sing songs through the night around bonfires.
